Why detox?
Most people subject their bodies to harmful lifestyles and diets that inhibit the body’s ability to cleanse and heal itself. Eating a poor diet of processed foods clogs up the digestive system with waste materials and prevents our bodies from absorbing vital nutrients, inhibits the immune system and, over time, can lead to health problems. To counteract this we need to eat less of things that are bad for us, and more of the good things. Making simple changes to your diet will aid your digestion, give you more energy and help ward off disease and weight gain.

Detox Weekend for Mind and Body

::Lisloughrey Lodge Hotel.
prices start from 300€ (residential) NEW OPTION : NON RESIDENTIAL 75€
Investing in your health is sometimes the last thing we think of doing when taking that well-earned break. But what if you could kick-start your health routine in luxury?
Relax, unwind and detox with us in Lisloughrey, a luxurious 4 star boutique hotel in Cong. This is an ideal weekend to introduce you to the powers of juicing whilst also enjoying some light vegan cuisine. The program is designed to assist the body in eliminating toxins through taking detoxifying herbs, drinking plenty of fresh organic juices, fluids and doing yoga. Classes on nutrition and healthy eating, meditation and cooking are also included.
The Detoxification programme is designed and run by experienced nutritional therapist Maev Creavan, B.Eng.MSc. Dip.NT. Maev has worked in detoxification retreats in Turkey, India and Ireland and has also has her own thriving private practice in Galway. Maev also teaches nutrition in Galway and Dublin.
Please note that acceptance on this weekend is subject to the passing of a health/ medical questionnaire.
This retreat involves drinking fresh juices and other fluids, and eating a light vegan diet designed to provide optimum nutrition with food that is light and easy on the digestive system.
The weekend assists you in kick starting healthier habits by giving your body a break from processed foods, alcohol, tobacco, caffeine, meat, dairy, wheat and sugar. Instead the diet is focused on maximising your intake of fresh juices, organic fruit and vegetables that help the body to cleanse.
Yoga is a central element in this retreat as it is extremely effective in helping the body to detoxify. It is perhaps the only form of activity that massages all the internal glands and organs of the body. By gently stretching muscles and joints as well as massaging the various organs, yoga ensures the optimum blood supply to various parts of the body. Yoga also helps to harmonise the mind with the body to relax and rejuvenate the mental and emotional systems of the body as well as the physical.
