What an Athlete Eats for Breakfast

I had the opportunity to ask a few well known athletes how they start their day. I thought you’d like to know! These fellas know how to push themselves [and others] to the nth degree and they have consistent results to show for it! You obviously have to take into consideration that this is just their breakfast!

What information [food], are you giving your body and what messages are these foods signalling to your hormonal system? Are these in alignment with your health goals?

Athlete. Model. Actor. Nutrition and Skincare Guru. Founder of Alitura Naturals. www.alituranaturals.com

“I usually wake up around 630am. I throw on my favorite song by Kaskade 'I remember' and I proceed to bang out as many pushups as I can. I believe immediately shocking your system into a 'til failure' state upon awakening not only sets the tone for the day energetically, but it's a fun and invigorating way to get the blood flowing.

I then go into the kitchen an mix up my morning elixir of anti-inflammatory herbs and amino acids. I then hang upside down on my inversion table for 10 minutes” or so. I usually have some relaxing music like Sade playing while I collect my thoughts and lock in on what I need to do that day. Surprisingly I don't write things down, not that I recommend that, it's just what works best for me.  The inversion table is a great way to get circulation flowing and get the elixir running through my veins.

I am an intermittent fast guy, which means I carry on throughout the day until about 1pm with no meal since dinner from the previous night. Usually around 16-18 hours. I burn fat, and I am locked in cognitively like never before.
